JYJ’s daily-life documentary, “The Day”, has attracted 24,138
audiences within 4 days from its opening. Even the management is surprised by
the fast speed.
A representative of Lotte Cinema expressed, “(“The Day”) has
received a huge response since its presales, when more that 110,000 people
gathered online at the same time, and has ended off with a surprising average
of 75% of seats occupied.”
In order to thank the fans for their passionate support, stage
greetings were held on the opening day and over the weekend, at Hongik
University Entrance and Konkuk University Entrance. During these stage
greetings, JYJ updated fans about the preparation of the new album and their
own recent activities, and specially allowed fans to directly ask questions.
JYJ expressed, “It is a film that has been long awaited by both
the members, as well as the fans, so we hope everyone will enjoy watching it.
We are very happy to be able to see the fans after such a long time, and gain
strength from them. We are also happy to be able to continue creating more good
memories with the fans and becoming one with them.”
Members Kim Jaejoong and Kim Junsu also made surprise stage
greetings at the Lotte cinemas in Shinrim and Konkuk University respectively on
the day the film opened.
C-Jes Entertainment CEO Baek Chang Joo said, “Both the fans, and
the members who had the chance to interact with their fans again after a long
time, spent an enjoyable weekend. It was an opportunity to reaffirm JYJ’s
fandom. In the future, we will work hard to spread JYJ’s life and their music
to the fans through various channels, even if it is not
through TV appearances.”
